Hi, we have had a telephone meeting with our IP this morning with regards to a full and final settlement.

My brother is offering the sum of money for the F&F and the IP has asked for a letter from him to confirm this.

What should my brother's letter say?

Thanks

Hi Yorkie11

Myself and my husband are also preparing a full and final offer and my mother in law has kindly agreed to offer the money for us. She also has been asked to provide a letter confirming that she is happy to do this. My IP said it was for the company's benefit as they had to have a paper trail of all money due to money laundering etc. It only had to be a very basic letter that just stated who she was, how much she was offering for the full and final only settlement, confirmation that she does have the funds available to transfer asap should the full and final be accepted and then just sign and date it.
Hope this helps, maybe worth just giving the debt company you are with a quick ring and just asking what they need in it though as your company maybe different to mine :-)

Make sure that the letter states that the funds are ONLY available for the funding of a full and final offer and the offer will be withdrawn if not accepted by the creditors.
