I can't believe it, from a creditors meeting on the 12th March, I received our completion certificate dated 23rd March. Thats got to be a record. Huge thanks to Liz Pywowarczuk at Liberta Financial, can't recommend highly enough.
But what do we do now?? Are we completely free now, is that it?
I can't seem to get my head around it. Any suggestions?

Was it a payments made to date meeting, assuming from previous postings? Glad it was accepted and the IVA will remain on your credit files for 6 years from meeting date so nothing much to do there until that point.

Wow though what a turnaround for getting a completion certificate. Check with your IP but it looks like you're debt free. Well done.

We had been paying in from 2009, then last year I suffered a back injury as such we could no longer make payments. We were given a 6 month payment break, then it became clear that I wasn't returning to work anytime soon. My daughter gifted us £1500 to make a full & final settlement, which was accepted on the 12th March, and then we got the completion certificate through on the 23rd March. It's just seeing other people's problems on this site with getting their completion certificate, I expected to wait weeks or months for it to come through, so was a little surprised to receive it this week.
I just wanted to ask if we had to inform anyone of the change in our circumstances, I know it takes 6 years for a repaired credit history (not that we shall ever rely on credit again), but it will be nice to know when we can apply for a full current account, etc. I just wondered if there was anything we should be doing ourselves.

I think until the 6 year mark there isn't much you can do.

by 12 months to go
great news re gettig your certificate and hope your health improves also

at least your free from your iva, but as the above posters have said, it will be 6 years from the date your IVA was accepted that you will really notice a difference in terms of your credit file being spotlessly clean
