Hello
My situation is:

been in IVA since Feb 07 - total debt 39,000. Paying back 53p in the pound - total 30,000 over 5 years inc IP fees. 500gbp a month.
Payments to Feb 08 when I would want to make an offer £6000.

My parents want to offer me the money in order to reach an early finish (i would then pay them back). I am not sure if I could get them to lend more than 20,000.

Would this be acceptable? I really hope so.
Thanks for your help.

I cant answer your question regarding the f&f.
I wanted to say make sure there is nothing in your proposal that states you cant finish within a certain ammount of time. I think its usually 2 years.
If i am wrong, one of the experts will correct me when they answer your question

Thanks for your replies - I did look, and there is nothing to say IVA can't be concluded before 2 years.

Seems to be reasonable, but check with your own IP who has detailed knowledge of your case and particular circumstances.

Hi
Sounds a good offer and make sure that you state that your parents will loan you this money only if it is used to conclude your IVA and that all your disposible income will be used to repay them.
I presume that you are not a property owner with an equity clause.
