Hi guys,

I've been in my IVA for just over 3 years, so have just under 2 more years to go (July 2016).
I pay £180 a month x 23 months = £4140 left to pay into my IVA.
A relative may be in a position to settle my IVA in full soon so my question is, with a balance of £4140 left what would be a reasonable settlement figure to offer???

Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hi. With no mitigating circumstances you really need to offer near to the amount outstanding, so, say, £4000. If the IVA was in danger of failing due to illness, redundancy, etc a lower offer might be entertained, but bear in mind that the creditors are already taking a big hit.
