Well Melanie you can uncross your ski,s as my variation meeting was approved[full and final settlment].Had a bit of a scare as none of my wifes two creditors had voted and my IP[assistant]felt that it may be adjourned, however one of them finally voted.
Well its been the hardest three years of my life and there have been many times that I could have given up.Have had to scrape around for money to buy petrol to get to work, have had to put items back at the checkout because we have over spent our budget and to be honest had it not been for my father in law helping out financially then I certainly wouldn,t of made it.
This forum deals with lots of negative IVA stories and rightly so but be in no doubt that, used in the correct way,an IVA is a wonderful thing and gives a second chance in life.
I want to inspire the many people who are stuggling just as I have and to ask them to dig deep because the reward is outstanding.
Prior to my IVA I was in rented accomodation with 68k of debt.Three years later and I am debt free,a homeowner and will have £200 per week disposible income.........WOW.
Finally a thank you to all my friends on this forum and to Oliver at Thomas Charles who first suggested me offering a full and final settlement................if we ever meet I,ll buy you a drink.
Three cheers for IVAs
