Hi,

Under two weeks to go until my IVA creditors meeting...

My Creditors are:
Credit Cards:
Lloyds Bank - 5.4k
Yorkshire Bank - 6.5k
Halifax - 14k
Barclaycard - 6k
Egg - 4.5k
MBNA - 5.5k
HFC - 1k
America Express - 7k

Loan/Overdraft
Halifax - 10k

Total Debt: 59.9k

My main creditor is the Halifax with approx 24k of debt. Are they normally favourable towards IVA's? Without a Yes from them it could be curtains for my proposal.

It is a full and final offering approx .31p in the pound (including any fees that the ip wants)

To say I am nevous is an understatement!

So long as your IP is using a TIX compliant proposal, and is adhering to their required fee structure, there should be no problem with Halifax.

Hi Churchill

I wish you all the best for the meeting. 31p to the £ seems a good offer and more than my offer so I don't think you will have a problem. I really believe creditors are happy to get something back than nothing at all. I hope that helps.

regards
Maz

Disaster narrowly averted (I think)....

The company whom my loan is/would have been with (to raise the full and final) called today and said they could no longer lend the money due to the market.

After a lot of stress it appears that I have a replacement but will have to wait until I receive the documentation. Hopefully, they won't pull the plug as well. I didn't expect things to be so rosy getting the IVA through but I didn't expect a market product crash either!!

Good luck Churchill. We have recently been approved for a F&F for 25p/£ and were really worried as the large majority of my husband's debt was to MBNA who we thought would not approve. Haven't had all the details yet so don't know if they did approve or just didn't bother to vote. Main thing is both our IVA's were approved overall.

Let us know how you get on.

Good Luck Churchill,

If any advice I can offer, try and keep busy on the day so you are not constantly clock watching.
