I completed my IVA in September 2013 and out of interest decided to check my credit file today.

There is an account showing as default dated 1/2/14 from a company called Marlin financial services ltd - all other accounts show as up to date, settled or satisfied.

Do I need to contact this company?

Marlin bought a load of NRAM debts so you need to get this removed. Speak to your former IP, Marlin and or NRAM.

You can contact Marlin and ask them to remove the default notice, you can find a template letter which should help you http://pjgrecovery.com/clean-up-credit-rating.asp
