Hi

Can someone help us quick!

We have dumped Debt free direct and asked them to send us our paper work back as we were not happy. They were trying to increase our payments when our baby gets to 1, saying we need less money.

Can anyone recommend a good firm who works quickly, as were are already 2months behind on payments.

Id be grateful if people could post asap, including telephone number of the firms!

Thanks to everyone,

Hope you all have a fabulous xmas and new yr! x

As with anything, you need to shop around. I would personaly start with the companies on here, give them a call to chat through your circumstances and then you can make a more informed choice based on the answers/info you get from them.

Hope all goes well for you.

Kind Regards.

I am with Accuma, and they have been really good - fast, efficient and very knowledgeable.

Flashingblade,

I went with Myvesta. The IP they referred me to was Grant Thorton. From the day i called Myvesta my IVA was approved at a creditors meeting in just under 6 weeks. I only paid one upfront payment and that is classed as my first IVA payment (or i can use the upfront payment as a buffer if i fall on a hard month). I have nothing negative to say about either Myvesta or Grant Thornton.

I also went with Grant Thornton on the advise of my local CAB debt management team. They are in Belfast and the telephone number is 0289 031 5500.
The name of the gentleman who did our IVA was Michael Peacock.
I had also had info from Debt Free but I was'nt really comfortable with dealing with people over the phone. From the first meeting with Michael I felt that we were with someone who knew what he was talking about and had a excellent success rate.
Our IVA took from 31st October first meeting the the 30th May to set up and all that time I only paid my mortage.
I have been really concerned reading on other posts that people having been paying money when the IVA has not gone through, we did not pay until our IVA went through.

I would recommed Thomas Charles - ours is a complex case with huge debt but I have met my IP face to face and they have been incredibly supportive - it has taken since November so far but we are aiming to have my proposal agreed within the next couple of days and have a meeting mid to end January.

I have found Blair Endersby to be pretty good. They are a bit pushy and use the hard sell sometimes but they got mine through in 8 weeks and I didn't make any payments until 1 week before the creditors meeting on the 19th december. They have worked well for me. Good luck with whoever you choose.Jax
