Good morning all ... terrible frost here today ... glad I don't have to go out. It looks nice from the comfort of me living room though ... but must be hell to drive or even walk in. Hope everyone is feeling well and beginning to feel the Christmas spirit ... or at least swig the Christmas spirit ......
The Sunday after Christmas, a Sunday School teacher told her the children about an angel appearing to Joseph in a dream, warning him about danger to the baby Jesus and telling him how to escape from it.
After the story time, the kids were given an opportunity to draw a picture about the story.
Most of the pictures were predictable, but young Wizzette's had an odd element in it. "Wizzette, I see Joseph and Mary with the baby Jesus on a donkey, but what's that thing following the donkey?
"It's the flea, miss."
"Flea...? Ah...what flea?" asked the teacher.
To which Wizzette faithfully repeated the Bible verse, "Take Mary
and Jesus and flea to Egypt." she said. "There's Mary, there's
Jesus, and there's the flea."
