... and I wonder how many of you are onto your SECOND Advent calendar ??? It's a lot milder here today so I'm almost looking forward to the weekly shop. Mrs Wizz got a small Christmas gift from the salt mines yesterday ... a turkey ... shame they didn't give it to her Christmas week ... it would have done for Christmas lunch ... still, it will go down nice on Sunday ....

Just before last Christmas I was shopping at a toy fayre in Sunderland looking for gifts for the grand kids. I glanced to my left and caught sight of a queue at the doll counter; they were waiting for the shelves to be restocked with Mattel dolls. As I looked I realized that in the queue was a good friend of mine. Knowing Jim well I was sure that he had no daughters nor did he have any nieces so I wondered why he should want to buy a doll at Christmas time'

'Hey, Jimbo,' I cried, 'Ah didn't knaa yer collected dolls, marrer.'

'Ah divent,' he replied laughing'

'Really,' I queried, 'then yer must be buying a Christmas present then?'

'Nah, not at all, Marrer,' responded Jim, his eyes twinkling merrily'

'If you divent mind me askin then Jim,' I said, 'What are yah deein in this queue?'

'Ah, that,' he giggled. 'It's like this, mate,' he mused, 'Ever since Ah went to Ozz last Summer Ah've nivver been able ter resist a Barbie queue.'

Have a great Saturday ....

I have just wrapped nearly all of my Christmas presents, phew [:D] That was a job and a half, have been stuck in house most of the week with the snow but I am nearly sorted for Christmas now! I put the tree up last night too! AND I have written the cards, including all to hubby's family , he won't do it, says he does not do cards! MEN! [:)]

That's terrible!

I've got all my presents now but I can't wrap them yet as I ordered gift tags with Harry's face on and they haven't come yet! Hopefully they'll be here soon...

Like that one Ray![:D][:D]

I make hubby write the cards for his kids and grandkids - I do all the rest.

I wrap all the pressies as well. Still shouldn't complain really as he does do Christmas Dinner (not that I can have any this year!)[:D]

[:D] Ray,

I don't do Christmas cards....I'm useless at things like that, so I donate £20 to the local youth club instead. Makes me feel better....though I'm sure my mum sends cards on my behalf out of embarrassment [:D]

Skippy - what a fab idea to have "harry" gift tags! Where do you get those from?
