Sorry about yesterdays gaff peeps ... a few people thought I hadn't posted ... but I had ... honest [:D][:D]

Ethel was going to the Christmas office party but needed a new party dress. So she popped into town and had a look in Top Shop. Displayed in the window was an amazing red dress which only just managed to stay decent ... in other words the perfect party frock. So she popped in and approached the counter ....

"May I try on that dress in the window, please?" she asked.

'Certainly not, madam,' responded the salesgirl, 'You'll have to use the fitting room like everyone else.'

Have a fantabulous Friday folks.

Yesterday wasnt too good for me, so I am hoping for better today.

1) got up late and had to rush, missed out on morning me time, you know, like waking up time.

2) Freezer was unplugged so had to cook all the meat and sling out some stuff.

3) I had to change the lounge round for the tree, yesterdays job.

4) needed to go and collect some DS thingies for my girls, car wouldnt start. Comet phoned me up and said they would only keep them until closing time. (they are in short supply)

5) Managed to push start car but konked out and we had to push with swine back, myself and my son, so I had to scoot it. Total electrical failure, couldnt even close the stupid windows.

6) borrowed my sons car to get DS's but forgot purse and had to go back home, finally got the cash out to get DS's but shop moaned about paying by cash. (how stupid, shops hate cash, does anyone else find this?)

7) Got home just in time and starving to see Villa in uafa cup... they lost.

8) didnt get crimbo tree but did get some charger thing from halfords at a cost of £50, so hoping stupid car will go today.

9) megga skint.

Oh Lily, look on the bright side, that was only 9 bad points...could have been worse, could have been into double figures [:D]

Seriously, why is it when one thing goes to pot so does everything else.
?

I agrre with you about the cash thing -I'm waiting for the shops to start adding a charge for using cash.

Here's hoping you have a better day today [:)]

Yes Julie, I dont understand why real money seems to make you look so poor..my savings are in a cash card account and so I only use cash for incidentals like this.. The girl said, oh yes miss lily, we have your click and collect orders, big fat smile on her face, then out comes the cash.... (smile fading somewhat).. er, got a card? er no... oh we will have to use a another till, I dont have money in this one.... errr,(top of her voice) Janet can you check this please, she has cash... its a click and collect.. then we had to go through the rigmarole again as I had two Ds's and they wouldnt let me put two of them on one order.. this time there was a distinct tut coming from the direction of miss big smiley face.

I am OK, I always think things happen for the best anyway, including the car not starting up, may be I would have been in an accident if it had? You just dont know, do you?

Its chrismtas, I guess we cant expect to be unstressed, loaded and sorted, yet.

[:D][:D][:D] Ray.

Lily, what an awful day yesterday! Just relax and be pampered at the hairdressers and you will feel wonderful!

Hi guys

Brum brum, my car went, this thing that you put on your battery is great, this is for starting knackered and cold batteries, I have done my food shopping and everything, it started on the way back no problem but there is still lots of charge in the kicker thingy, its called jump start, so I am happy now, just going to the retail park to get a tree now, too late for the garden centre, its such a complete bitch without a car isnt it? Still, a very good day and my room looks great the way I cnanged it round, the step daughter and son are staying tonight the girls in my double bed and I am having the little room. They have all said they are going to chip in for a chinese. Life is good...

We were promised a dry day and I was up at 5 so put all the washing out, its rained all day and its really cold too but no snow here.

Hope you get your car sorted Tori.

Hope everyone else is having a good day and a good evening.

Happy days.

[:D]Glad you are mobile again Lily...we've got one of those jump start contraptions, and they are a godsend. We went to Newcastle for a wkend away a couple of years ago and went to set off home but the battery was as dead as a dodo.We weren't a member of the rac then,so we got a taxi to halfords and bought one..it was most definitely well worth the money!! Hope you enjoy your chinese[:D]xx
