Andy, I still think I'll have the last laugh at the end of the season - no way will Liverpool win the Premiership.

Although then again at least they have a chance - unlike Shrewsbury... [;)]

Shrews, changing the subject slightly - were you at the FA Cup game when Shrewsbury lost to Staines Town? Staines are my local team and it was a really big thing here.

If they can hang onto Fellaini I think they could do quite well this season.

Skippy, Iv'e no reason to believe Liverpool will be champions for this or next season.
But United need to realise that like Liverpool, once you've been at the top there's only one way to go.

...well....done....Ev.........no, still can't do it[:p]
If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d grab ours back.

Funds paid to date accepted as F&F 16th August 2013, the wait for completion begins.

I don't think United are on the way down just yet - I think it will come down to United and Chelsea at the end of the season as I do wonder if City could implode. It nearly happened last season and with so many so called big names in the squad Mancini could struggle.

Do you think Brendan Rodgers is the man for the job Andy?

I would say without the distraction of last seasons Tevez escapade Citeh can do it all again this season, not sure about Chelsea though.
Brendan Rodgers has the ability to improve Liverpool providing the owners don't show their impatience as they did with Dalglish.

That's a good point about Tevez. I also think they need to keep a tight rein on Balotelli - he may be a brilliant player but he needs to know that he's not bigger than the team. He reminds me of Kevin Pietersen and the England cricket team.

My only reservation about Rodgers is that his brilliant Swansea team was mainly assembled by Roberto Martinez. It'll be interesting to see how he does starting from scratch.

Well that won me a lot of virtual cash so I'm off to get virtually drunk and wake up in the morning with virtually no hangover[^]

Interesting - score draw would be ok but a win would be better. After last weeks performance I'm not expecting too much. Hopefully Bassong will make a difference x

Was lucky enough to go to match today footiemad. Should have won and not sure about that penalty.

Julie you must be over the moon what a start. I think we might be in for a hard time.
