I am so sorry but I didnt pick willie the tree, I was just out of hospital after surgery and had to delegate. The tree was named by my eldest son too. I wanted to castrate it but they wouldnt let me.

We went out today to look at trees and stuff like that. There was this chap with his wife who obviously had three small daughters, they were picking out toys from the argos catalogue, she said, Daisy wants this, Fele wants that and Fay wants the other, he said but they can share those what about this. OK, she said, I wont get them what they want I'll just get want you want, and prompty ripped up the list and threw it up in the air...... she bounced out of the shop and he carried on tutting.... thats the spirit eh?

Oh dear!!! that sounds like me and my OH last week when we went xmas shopping[:D]It took us about an hour to decide which present to get for his brother and sister in law...I fully take the blame though because i'm so indecisive...I had him picking this thing up-then putting it back, then something different, but then saw something else they might like...I can't repeat what he said but there was nearly world war 3 in the middle of Debenhams!!! I wouldn't mind but they're 'designer label' type people which really winds me up,so they're very difficult to buy for[}:)]Thank goodness we've more or less finished our xmas shopping[:D]xx

That's why I do my Xmas shopping every week a bit at a time. Grandkids are going to have a real noisy 2009 Xmas ... grandson is getting an Electric Guitar and granddaughter is getting a keyboard ... total cost about £160 ... thats only £3.10 a week. Have already started saving lol. I get daughter and son in law books nearer the time.

I agree,that's a brilliant idea Ray[:)]..xx

Tori,

we've got one of those "take ages to put together tree" but haven't used it in our present house as it takes up too much room..it is massive, about 6ft high and 3ft wide[:0]and takes about 6 hours to put together[:(] ..so a couple of years ago,we bought a fibre optic from asda which has red bows on it[:I] and takes minutes to put together and fits nicely on our table[:)]...we haven't named it though[:)].must admit though that the other one did look nicer!!....and I agree, you can't beat a good old argy bargy at chrimbo time[;)][:D]..xx

We've got a 5 foot slim tree that we bought in Next a few years ago and all the decorations are red and gold. We've got a fibre optic tree, but I hate it - I like to decorate the tree!

It'll be interesting to see what Harry's like with a Christmas tree...

We wondered what Suzie would be like with the tree, but she doesn't seem bothered with it.

I shan't be putting any presents under the tree till Christmas Eve though - we'd have nothing left!
