Michael, hun, that time will come when all is approved. You'll see. Apart from the idiot from Financial Connections, no-one else rings me at all. I get the odd letter which I send to my IP. Job done. I don't worry anymore. You'll soon be experiencing the lovely long peaceful days and nights. Enjoy your grandbabby, nothing else is worth worrying about, I promise you. Kazzy x

We get no calls either, or post telling us we have been 'misold' our IVA.

I don't mind answering the phone, the door or opening post, and I can sleep at night too!

we have just paid our 24th payment and no better feeling is there....slowly but surely the calls will stop...the fear of anyone turning up at the door will subside and the avalanche of letters will become a trickle until eventually you will wonder if the post office has forgotten where you live.!!!.... .....
IVA completed 11th Dec 2009 due to a Full and Final with the fantastic help of Michael Peoples and

Yip yip, yes my 2nd payment has come out too. You can tell i worry up until the due date, and then as soon as it's gone, i feel relieved and much more positive.Adjustment takes time i guess. So, £1100 paid toward my IVA in 8 weeks ! 16 weeks and it will be double that, by Christmas it will be so much more. That's incredible really.

Yes it really does, you kind of worry so much throughout the month about how you are managing, without the false security of having credit behind you, you manage though, and you become more confident in handling cash again, then before you know it another payment is due, i had a little left over this month from last and yeah, long may it continue,no horrid surprises though, please god.I'm heading back to the hospital later on for an ultrasound. I'm hot and uncomfortable, and i can feel the coils, which is supposed to be unheard of. Though the most important thing today is that my bills are paid and the money in my account has my name all over it.

Of course my health is equally important, mental health wise, i made it through the month, and can start the new month fairly securely.I can take a time out, be paid whilst i am off sick without it affecting my IVA, am i making sense ?#13;#10;

It makes perfect sense. If it helps your health to give yourself the mini monthly goals of getting through the next payment, then that's great and with that element of your life in control, you can free up your natural defences to tackle your physical health and get yourself well again. You are doing fantastically well with all that you've been through, you are a real inspiration and I wish you good health and happiness for the future. Kazzy x

It makes a lot of sense Quark. I've found that breaking my IPA payments into chunks helps, as each time I reach a certain payment I've reached the next goal.

Get yourself well, that's the main thing x

The best six doctors anywhere
And no one can deny it
Are sunshine, water, rest, and air
Exercise and diet.
These six will gladly you attend
If only you are willing
Your mind they'll ease
Your will they'll mend
And charge you not a shilling.

Take time to rest Quark. Your health is the most important thing.

Hi Guys, I know I am sad, but I am due to pay my second IVA payment on 31st (so will probably leave my bank on Friday as its a Sunday) and I am really looking forward to it leaving my bank a/c [:0] I feel that as each month goes by, that very feint glimmer of light gets ever closer. Still a long way to go, but it certainly gives me the feel good factor. Just thought I'd share it..... Kazzy x
