Funnily enough I don't really fancy eating one!

It would probably make me sick anyway!

The one thing I miss (apart from tikka masala!) is Sainsburys fresh cream raspberry turnovers!

After making myself ill with Haagen Daaz over the weekend I've got to think more carefully about what I eat! I knew it wouldn't agree with me, but I enjoyed it at the time!

No, but I was a little bit restrained - I bought vanilla Haagen Daaz instead of Baileys as I thought it would be less creamy!

Not a very big step but a step all the same.

We used to get haagen daaz ice cream when I served on an american base during the last gulf conflict. It was the highlight of many a day.

That said the yank marines once served up a tasty meal of cat fish and rice............it was only made eadible by the addition of some blue cheese sauce.

Thank god they had the ice cream to take away the taste of the main course!!!

I remember my first stay at an American Air Base as part of a training exercise. Having been used to pretty ropey old British Army (concentration more like!) camps, we could not believe our luck to land two weeks at Upper Heyford where we lived in luxury accomodation with cable TV and DVD recorders in all rooms, a cookhouse where I swear five star food was served (with silver knives and forks - would never get away with than on a UK camp - or have any left!!), ice cream parlour and a PX where Levi 501s cost about fifteen quid!

Double standards or what!!

Paul - that sounds dreadful! Apart from the blue cheese sauce that it!

Mel - we have friends living in New York and one of their neighbours is ex forces and he goes to the local PX all the time. He got us some cheap booze when we stayed there and was always coming back with cheap electrical goods.

Does sound like a 5 star hotel where you were staying!
