4 months after completing my Full & Final IVA I am being hounded by Abbey for a credit card debt. My F&F IVA was entered into 31.7.08 and Termination Certificate issued by my IP during feb09. What's strange is that between July08 and Feb09 I heard nothing from Abbey (I did from others) and now all of a sudden they're writing default notice letters and I've just had a phone call from their credit card collections team chasing me for payment. This is made even more annoying because 2 days ago I phoned the same team to explain the IVA and was categorically told that they were at fault and they would place a note on the system. Cearly, because of the phone call tonight (7.40pm) this obviously hasn't worked! The IP is obviously now out of office in regards to the IVA so what so the experts suggest I do to stop Abbey. I do have in extra concern that our mortgage is also with Abbey (fully up to date and never defaulted!) and I'm wondering could they hold the IVA and this credit card issue against me? Thank you

Threaten them with a complaint to the Financial Services Insustry and British Bankers Association if they continue to harrass you. That ought to do the trick.

Also write to their Chief Exceutive informing him that you will take action for harrassment if the letters/phone calls don't stop.
