we have 4 months to go in our iva!! all has been great, never missed a payment, all running smooth.

however in the last two weeks we've had two letters from differnt debt collecting agencies, both chasing payment on the same outstanding debt, of which this debt is included in our iva,

both times my husband has explained that were in an iva and this debt is included in it

why now all of a sudden are we getting these letters??

starting to stress me out, is it common place towards the end of an iva to have companies try and pressure you into paying more???

Hi. I would imagine the debts have been sold on and the new "owner" hasn't caught on yet. Pass the letters on to your IP as they will need to check this out for paying dividends etc.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Personally, I would just ignore them and not even waste my time contacting them but as Foggy says, if dividends don't get cashed correctly it could delay the closure of the IVA so maybe you should pass them up to your IP.

It seems that creditors just seem to sell of debts when they feel like and take no account whether it's in a DMP, IVA or even Bankrupt probably.

We do get the odd letter saying that for our referance our debt has been bought by another company.

Dont get stressed out about it. Like you have said as long as all your debts are in your IVA, they are all covered.
They have nothing better to do im afraid!

Have a good weekend and look foward to finnishing your IVA.

Baldy.

PS. We would love to be 4 months from the finnish!!!!

Hand them over to yoyur IP and have them deal with the creditors/DCAs directly.

Hi Ellis
As most people have said, get any letters straight to your IP to deal with, you can always ring your IP aswell, and tell them you are faxing or emailing the letter through (if you have a scanner and can scan them into your computer)tell them it is stressing you out and ask them to deal with it asap as these people are not allowed to harass you. If they continue to harass you get onto your IP straight away as they are not legally allowed to do this. Try not to let it stress you out as much I know it is easier said than done and well done on getting this far in your IVA you are alost finished!

Echo other comments...your IP needs to work through this for you ...you are covered by your IVA agreement and have no cause for concern.

Hi

You would expect some letters possibly at the start of your IVA but not after 4+ years.
It must be frustrating

You don't need the hassle when you're almost finnished but as others say pass to your IP and ask them to deal with the creditor concerned, I'm sure they'll put them right. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
