This is my 40,000 forum post, and it is unbelievable to look back over the journey I have had since joining the forum in January 2007.

I have seen people start and finish their 5 year IVAs, and for me the past six years have absolutely whizzed, but I know for those of you in IVAs (or who have completed them), the time must have absolutely dragged. Someone said to me last week that I look nothing like my forum picture - so as it is now six years old I guess I need to update it. Watch this space!!

We have seen births, engagements, marriages and sadly lost the occasional forum friend over the years - there have been arguments, heated discussions, disagreements but most of all a whole lot of sensible, shared advice from professionals and people involved with IVAs and bankruptcy which all of us have benefitted from. There are not too many days when I don't learn something new on the forum, and I thank all of you regular posters, newbies and silent watchers for all of the support you have afforded me and my firm over the past six years.

The folks behind this forum, in particular the wonderful Andy Davie - who I did manage to get to buy me a drink or two last week! - do an amazing job at administering and moderating the forum, and I hope that it will go from strength to strength and that I will be a part of it for many years to come.

Now back to the busines of posting .......

Melanie, Congratulations on your 40,000 posts !

As I had only found this forum a year ago I have found the advice from yourself as well as your team, other IP's and others in iVA's etc as a lifeline for me and my family. Knowing that if we have any concerns we are never alone and no question is a silly one.

I am glad that our family has your company representing us with our IVA, and continue to look forward to the rest of our journey with the advice from yourself and all other forum participants.

Here is to at least another 5 years of forum blogging !!!
Started IVA 27th Feb 2012 - Due to complete 27th Jan 2018 !!

Full & Final submitted and accepted 30th March 2015, paid 10th April 2015 - 3 yrs 1 month into IVA :)

Completion Certificate received- 30th April 2015!!

Congratulations Mel, I am very pleased to say I am lucky enough to be with your team, although there have been some tough times your team knows how to make us feel like we are on a journey together and work with us to resolve any issues and fast. I am a silent watcher and on this forum every night, I still wonder how you manage to juggle everything and yet give up so much of your time on here to help us in need (along with all the other posters of course) [:)]
Thank you and gongrats again [;)]
Took The plunge and made the call, changed our family life and we have never been happier. Debt free and wont go back..... IVA was by far the best thing we ever did to teach us the real value of Family and money

Congratulations Melanie. Such a great achievement. I found the forum only a few months away from completion, and hadn't been aware of the vast number of IVA's in place. When in such a dark place, you feel you are the only one and I am sure that many posters will confirm this. This forum is a lifeline and I do not feel it would do the job it does, without yourself and other experts, giving of their fee time to help. This also goes for the many members, who graciously give their own opinions and share such personal/fanancial situations, for the help of others.
Congratulations once again.

Hi Mel

Many congratulations on your landmark post

You input has been totally invaluable over the years, without your expert input this forum simply would not be the same. It is very easy to take someone for granted but your post today has made me realise just how much time and effort you have put into the forum.

I don't feel so bad in buying that round of drinks now [£76 and I'm still waking up in the middle of the night thinking about it !!]

Regards
Andam Davies

Congratulations Melanie. I am due to have my first discussion with with you tomorrow evening about my IVA proposal and as I have said in previous posts my decision to choose your firm was massively influenced by what I have read on this forum from you and your team. They have been superb so far and I looking forward to getting my IVA in place and working with all of you over the next 5 years.

Well done Mel you have given mavellous support to all of us.

I wish I had wish I had found this forum before I started my IVA but I was in such a state I could not even go near the pc. I would have gone with your company as you do sound so understanding.

Best wishes
Linda
