Hi and welcome. Is the delay from PPI claims? So many are experiencing this but that doesn't help you...which company are you with? I only ask as some post on the forum and can often help escalate things, only other advice is he who shouts loudest and do keep hassling them all the time. I sincerely hope this is received in your hands very soon to enable your life to move forward x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

It was originally Blair Endersby now being finalised with Grant Thorton, I just keep getting told it's waiting to be finalised. The last phone call to them, they did state that I would receive certificate by the 31st of October this year but I've sorta lost faith now.

GT are experiencing a lot of criticism in respect of delays. Let's hope the 31st brings your certificate to enable you to move on.

the duration of the IVA is the duration. .....Full STOP.... Any IVA company delaying the completion certificate, are down right scoundrels....
They have 5 years to sort it out, they know when you are due to finish!!!

If you pay on time, all the time, at the end, you want it finished, any delay is totally uncalled for, I have a tent and am not afraid to use it on my IP's front lawn if they delay my end date by more than a week....

you are not finished till you get the certificate, maybe its good for the IP's monthly books, but it is not good for us, and they are all taking the ....

Often delays are unavoidable adriancox, and most of us do try to get our cases closed for our clients as quickly as possible - but if there are assets still to pursue then this is more than good grounds for keeping the case open - as the IP may only have recently found out about hidden assets, such as PPI reclaims.

Come on IP's, why cant you plan ahead, and have the finish date the finish date?

If our clients had told us at the outset that they had the potential to make PPI reclaims, then we would have been able to plan for those claims at a much earlier stage. Unfortunately neither our clients, nor we, have the benefit of hindsight - we are simply trying to get things moving along as quickly as possible now for everyone's benefit.

Mel, you use the words "we" and "us" ..... whilst this applies to firms like yours, where client care is high on the agenda, other firms do not share that ethos. I am saddened to say. Unfortunately there is a "them" too :-(

Failure to establish hidden assets within 5 years of an IVA?

Only reason is, I guess you do nothing between the five years?

OR, Suppose the day before the 'imaginary' completion date most people win the lottery or inherited millions?

IVA company's help you get on board, but once on board... NON could care less.....

Adrian .. whilst I share your frustration, it is unfair to tar all IPs with the same brush. There are many who, like Mel, are clearing cases in a timely manner and in accordance with the agreed terms. Please don't allow these rogue firms to taint your view of the whole industry.
