Hi rachell its quite normal feel likethis before your meeting. i am sure i have read on the froum of how good Alex Twitchen is. Cant exactly say how to relax, but on the day I always tell everyone to keep busy with something. I did all the housework, cant even remember doing it, but the time passed.
Youre nearly there all the very best to you both.

Hi Rachell,

Good luck for your creditors meetings on Monday. Try not to worry about the outcomes - as long as the proposals offer the best solutions for the circumstances then they should be fine. Please let us know how they go.

Kind regards,
Terry Balfour

Hi rachellxx39

It is a vey scary time waiting for your creditors meeting (mine was accepted in November) but my advice is to keep very busy but when you get a call from Clearstart make sure you are in a quiet place where you can concentrate and have a pen and paper ready to write down any modifications or other points they will discuss.
Also when you get stressed try to remember that the vast majority of ivas are succesful (over 80%) so if you have a good proposal to your creditors you should be ok.

It was only after my iva was accepted that I realised how stressed I had been, when I had calmed down after all the euphoric feelings, I was so tired I could have slept for a week solid. Also people kept asking if I had lost weight and I noticed my trousers were really loose - stepped on scales and had lost 10 pounds. Have been trying to loose a few pounds for ages but didn't even notice it happening.

I wish you all the best as understand how you are feeling and I hope all goes well for you.
Please also remember that you do not have to accept any modifications there and then - you have a set time to think about things, I think its 14 days, so don't feel presured to agree to anything until you have thought about it (if you do get any modifications that is!!)

Good luck and don't forget to post after your meeting

Hi, My IP is Alex Twitchen, although I have never spoken to him his staff are really nice and helpful. My iva was approved and about 15/20mns later Aex's team were on the phone explainng everything, I sat in my car when I spoke to them, I had to ring them back, I was told all mods which I wrote down but then received all in writing in 2 weeks, this gave me time to digest all the mods in my own time before signing, from what I can gather both Clearstart and Alex Twitchen both have good reputations.
The company is mentioned on here quite a lot. Try not to worry too much and please let us all know how you go on.

Hi Rachael
we are in the same boat - literally - we had our IVA approved this afternoon, also with a few standard modifications, and both of us can already feel the burden easing alittle. Along way to go yet but we know it will be all worth the struggle of the next 5 years
be good to keep in touch if you want to

Voting went ok,Natwest wanted an increase of £30.00 per month on my husbands proposal but they were his largest creditor.3 out of 5 creditors voted for my husbands proposal and 12 out of 17 voted for mine.
