I have decalerd bankrupsty and have an account with Norwich and Peterborough building society but this does not allow me to have any direct debits, I am looking to move soon and need an account somewhere where I can set up direct debits for things such as rent, electricity, etc. Can you recommend a bank or building society that will provide me with this type of account?

Hi
The Co-op cashminder account is the most recommended, you can pay via DDs and have an electron card, you also get online banking. They seem to be OK accepting bankrupts.I suggest calling them rather than applying online 08457 212 212.
Failing this the Think Bank account will accept you but they have a £12.50 monthly fee.
