hi guys,
i just want to say a massive thank you for all the support we have received since finding this forum, as a lot of you know we had our iva approved today, meeting was this morning and we had our result within half an hour of meeting time.I was actually quite calm when i spoke to tom, part of the wonderful melanie giles team, and even pecked his head with questions, i am so relieved,i cant beleive we have found a solution to our debts, i know it wont always be easy and its not a get out of what we have done, and i do hope we can pay back as much as we can, i am lucky that i love where i work , fantastic work mates, and i will be happy to do as much over time thrown at me knowing some of it is going to our creditors, thanks to all you guys that were posting at silly hour last night i really needed to talk, and you were there for me, my hubby actually said today he thought me finding you was a god send because you have helped so much(thats his way of saying thanks) he then asked will i still post. WHAT i said, try and stop me, i might not know a lot about legal stuff but if i can be there to help anybody that is in our situation then i will be, and i feel very strongly about this.
any way enough going on, sending a massive cuddle to you all, have a great weekend.xx[:)][:)][:)]

Thats lovely Abby. You will be fine with Melanie and her tem looking after you.
Glad to hear you are going to keep posting.
The forum helped me in just the same way two years ago when we were just goin through the same, in fact I was probaby answering a call to one of the dreaded creditors at this time.
All over now, get on with your budgeting and give us any tips you think of and all the very best for reaching freedom from debt.

Ang xx

It is reading posts like this that convince me every day to remain a part of this wonderful network. Yours is a true success story, and brings the forum back to the spirit in which I think it was originally intended.

Abby, I was pinching myself for weeks after my iva was accepted. After the weeks of worry it seems wierd to have it all come to an end in a simple phone call.

I was terrified when I first went shopping without my credit card and used my debit card as I was so used to my bank account being overdrawn and relying on credit cards.

Over the next few weeks you will find things and feelings all calm down and you will settle into your new life[:)]

I have never looked back and you won't either!

Don't let any creditor calls you may still get affect you, as they will all get the message soon enough[:)]

Best Wishes
