This forum is so much friendlier and welcoming than others I have looked at and I think a lot of new people like that. Everyone is made to feel welcome, whether it's from the technical experts, or anyone else who posts on here and I hope that never changes.

I hope it doesn't change too. The amount of members that have joined and stayed, some for years says it all surely. James, Admin is sorting a seperate bit out for the support side but when I first posted and everyone made me feel so welcome, it is natural to form a bond and sometimes discuss non IVA topics....mid thread. ALL of the members and ALL of the experts have always given good advice to every new poster.

I know, being in my situation, I would have been in a very dark place without the kind support of everyone on here and the chit chat and I couldn't imagine what it would be like if it was to change to a purely question and answer forum.

Very boring I would think Viki.

Those of us who post regularly have made good 'cyber' friends on here. We get the chance to meet socially on regular occasions. Can you imagine that if all that happened was talk about debt prblems all night. Some of us would probably be suicidal by the end of the evening!

Any problems, we are there, but we also like to have a good laugh, and if that happens mid post, fine. It can help to soothe someones fears if they are new, or if they are just looking in.

To be honest if all we talked about was debt problems I'd probably stop posting! I found this forum helped me so much because I could have a laugh and talk about other things. Saying that, I would never ignore anyone asking a question just so I could have a laugh on a 'social' post.

None of us do Skippy. I know that I will always look at the serious ones and give an answer when I can, or point in the right direction if I can't. I'll go on the chatty ones later.

I hope no-one thought I was suggesting that they would do that as that's not what I meant!

No worries - my post didn't come out the way it was meant to either - I don't want to upset anyone, especially my fellow moderators! I don't want you deleting me every time I post!

What I was trying to say (very badly!) was that we all like a laugh, and none of us would ignore someone who needed help and advice.

That's exactly what I meant to say as well!

That's the problem with writing - I know what I want to say and it sounds fine in my head, but it doesn't always come across like it's meant to!

As long as I haven't offended anyone!

'Course not Skip. I think all of us have problems with how we put stuff down sometimes. It's not till you read it afterwards that you realise how it might sound.

Even the professional experts enjoy taking part in some of the more social chats!

I like the way this forum advises and supports debt issues but also I for one feel I can discuss other things on here. Its surprising what affect being in debt has on you, so its great to have a light hearted chat with new found friends too. A unique site I would say [;)]

There are all sorts of good tips on here as well, not always to do with money.

And we're there to enjoy someones good fortune, and commiserate with bad news.

For those of us who haven't told anyone of our circumstances, for whatever reasons, this is a place where we can let off steam and talk to someone who understands.
