I can only give an example of what we have bear in mind this is for two of us dental is only 25 clothing is 60 food and housekeeping is higher but we both have some medical reasons for that. As Melanie says put down the reasonable amount that you personally need. Cover all expenses and if you can keep proof of them send them with it to confirm. Have a word with your IP they will tell you your position with the payrise and hopefully you will be better off. Keep posting would like to know how it goes it helps others as well.

Your budgeted figures do not look unreasonable, but you will need to justify the £50 you have allocated to dental expenditure. This does appear a little high.

Now I wonder why it seemed so tough ??

Hi Phil,

Don't forget when you do your income/expenditure that you allow for increase in rate of inflation.

this is why most IP's state 50% as the other 50% should offset any rise in inflation
