Hello i have been a slient watcher for a few months now and have decided bankruptcy is the only option due to the level of debt I have. can anyone tell me when would I start paying the IPA is it straight after I make myself bankrupt?? also it says you can print them (forms )off on the Insolvency site but I can only see 6.27 and 6.28 I can't find the questionnaire form to print off ? can anyone point me in the right direction ?
do I half all outgoings on the form with my partner I earn £1500 and he earns £1000 he has debts of £110 per month ( he is a good boy )plus a car on Hp which leaves £711 for him to contribute towards our home he can't pay half of everything what do I do ??
Any advice greatly appreciated [:I]

Hi Nicki and welcome to the forum

I think the form you are looking for is:

Hi Nicki

You will start to pay into an IPA or IPO when told to by the Official Receiver. This can be several weeks after your bankruptcy hearing, as it does take some time to process the paperwork.

With regard to the calculation of your shared expenditure, I suggest that you put everything down and then explain to the OR exactly how you both split the bills. They will then determine whether an IPA or IPO is feasible.

Sorry to sound Thick Melanie
when you say put all expenditure down do you mean what I pay only?, I pay rent, c/tax, water, phone, both mobiles contract, my car, car insrance, petrol, leaves balance to creditors no spare for anything living off cards....
Darren pays his car, c/card, sky , sky insurance , car insurance , gas . electric, Darren pays for everything else food etc is this how I put it down or should I half everything on form ?

No - put it all down, and then explain who pays what- just like you have on your post will be absolutely fine. The OR will then take a view as to whether one of you is paying more than a fair share when he/she is considering whether a payments order is relevant.

Hi Nicki,

Ive got my appointment on the 1st October.

I've filled out my forms online.

here is the link:

https://www.insolvencydirect.gov.uk/isolv/

I think you have to print them out in triplicate, and take them to the court, with a fee of £485 in cash.

With you income and expenditure, I would suggest that you actually pay 60% of the bills.

Proportion it all that way.
