As you know we are smiling due to approved IVA as of last week, and obviously it takes time for that information to filter through to our various creditors, who have all been fantastic with the exception of one-NEXT Catalogue![:(!]
I have been called at least once a day for the last 15 days, and each time have politely explained our situation, and each time have been duly told our file has been updated.
Well tonight, as they phoned yet again as I was putting kids to bed (hubby away, so manning the chaos single-handedly!) I asked if they could not phone me at 8 in the evening, due to kids' bedtime. The woman who had a bit of an attitude to say the least, said it was out of her control as the numbers were automatically generated etc. I explained that the IVA had been agreed, and whilst I understood that that info probably hadn't filtered through to her department, they did have details of my IP so could check if necessary.
Well, she went on about how as my account was two months in arrears, what did I expect but daily calls from them!
I explained that they were the only creditors who had been so unsympathetic and insensitive, and expressed surprise that this was the case when, as a paying customer, I had received excellent customer service etc.
She reluctantly agreed to stop calls until September 1st, but made me feel like she was doing me a huge favour.
I did hint at the fact that I was feeling harassed by their attitude, and that I would be taking further advice if the calls continued.
She kept asking if I was able to make a payment, and of course I said no, sorry but that wasn't how it worked!
I managed to stay calm (although felt really got at!)
I know I spent the money, the kids are wearing their pj's as we speak (sale goods of course), but she certainly knew how to make a girl feel particularly guilty!
Ho hum!
