Hi All,

In under two hours it will be 2012, and I would like to wish you all the very best of luck, success and happiness for the coming year.

I would also like to share with you something which happened today that might just help to inspire some of you to keep going and persevere on your IVA journeys.

As many of you will know we finished our IVA back in June , and whilst we had finally conquered our debts, there was a secondary debt lurking away in the background, one which we all have to manage on a month by month basis....... Utilities. Gas, electricity & water. In our final year we had to budget like crazy and balances had built up, nothing crazy but they needed to be paid. Well the long and the short of it is that this morning I made the final payments and the balances are now zero.... Its a strange feeling that we will head into 2012 without so much as a gas bill left to pay.

Why do I share this with you? Well the fact is that when we entered our IVA we had unsecured debts of over £100,000 and we thought that there was no way out, and yet here we are, thanks to alot of hard work and the help and support of the fantastic team at DFD.

It can be done.

Best wishes to you all..

Happy New Year to you Firefox - gives hope for us all just starting out on the journey (although I can't believe we've already made 6 payments!).

I am so much happier now - even though it's not easy at times, my depression has got a bit better and I no longer have black moods when my bank statement arrives each month.

I am so please you are now completely debt free. Time to enjoy your life!!!

Well done and what a great start to 2012. It certainly does make a difference and speaking from experience too, it really is a new start for all to enjoy !

We were with DFD too and had great support from them - nice to see they are still receiving positive posts.

Thats the thing with this place, its full of people at different stages of journeys that are unique but in a way so similar its easy to understand exactly what one another is going through.

I dont know if there is any way we could pay back those running this site because without it many of us would be in a much worse state than we are.
