hi

Like alot of people on here i started reading this forum from afar. I wish i had joined sooner as it is such a relief to see other people in the same situaion, its funny how we all think we are alone in this situation when in fact the opposite is true.

My creditor meeting is for 29th March and i feel sick thinking of it. The only doubt i have is i can only afford 12p to the pound due to me being a single mum and what i can afford, i just hope and ray they accept my proposal.

Hi Kerry and welcome!

You're right, there are thousands of people struggling and it's nothing to be embarrassed about. Best of luck for the 29th and try not to worry about your offer - if it's the best option for your creditors then it should be accepted.
Take care,

Liam James

thank you im sure i will take advantage of that at some point. Just like to say that other forums can be so negative especially about certain insolvency practioners that i found it so confusing about whether i had chosen the right people, and if i had made the right choice all together, id advise any new person reading this be careful what you look at on the internet as sometimes it can be unhelpful. Unlike this forum which i have found to be very informative in a friendly way. :-)

Hi Kerry & a warm welcome to the forum from me.

You are with people on here whom know exactly how your feeling at the stage you are at. Im sure your IP will of put the best possible offer on the table for you & your creditors.
I have read reviews after I committed to our IVA & they were very unhelpful, but I think its right saying when things are going well, we dont think to comment, but when things go wrong we want to rant.
5 years is a long time at the beginning & having confidence in your IP really helps.
This forum is huge support to many & your journey will be of help to others so keep posting.
Good luck to both of you & let us know how you get on.
Final IVA payment made in April 2013, never ever thought we could do it or get through it but we did! X

Hi Kerry,

Just caught up with this and want to wish you good luck with your meeting.

I am sure you will be ok - the IP would not be putting this forward if they didn't think it would be accepted.

Good luck. Our meeting is the 25th & I know how difficult it is. Our return is also low so know how you feel about that too.
