Hi
It is difficult to police all the posts and admin do a wonderful job, many of the idiotic posts come late at night.
I welcome healthy debate and always have done, however anyone promoting debt avoidance is quickly ejected from this forum. If anyone has ever viewed The IVA Council forum [now totally at a standstill]they will appreciate how forums without a moderator become a free for all with many untruths and sweeping statements.
The goal of this site is unbiased advice with total support and to encourage people to be part of this we need to be totally non judgemental.
Believe me there are many attempted postings that this forum never see, from people that, for some unknown reason, seem to want to sabotage this site.
Finally people like Melanie and Ian deserve the utmost respect for all the time and free advice that they put into this forum and I,as site manager, will never allow any postings that are disrespectful or down right rude.
I'm sure that Admin and myself get it wrong sometimes, however looking at the growth of the site over the last year[500%]it can't be that often !!!
Regards
Andam Davies

I did not see that particular post but trust the admins reasons for deleting it.

These forums are a great source of information and support. I rushed into my IVA out of sheer panic when the realisation set in that I had more going out than coming in and I was robbing Pete to pay Paul and using credit to live from month to month, with all my cards almost maxed out I really was up the creek without a paddle and had nowhere to go.

I only wished I found these forums before taking out my IVA, as I may have cut out the middleman and gone straight to a IP. But having said that at least I can now see light at the end of the tunnel.

The owners of this forum are doing a fantastic job here, and there are some great people on here too. But to have disruptive posts for the newbies on here who are undecided what to do in my opinon is just adding to the stress of a very stressful time as it is.
We're willing to wipe the slate clean, give you a fresh start. All that we're asking in return is your cooperation.

I use many forums(football etc) and I have to say that this one is the most polite forums I use on a now daily basis.

IMO it should always be up to the admin team to decide what posts are deleted but a reason should always be given.
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.

Very well said Andy but a lot of the credit should also go to yourself and Sally (the lady lurking in the shadows) You both, also give up a lot of your time for the people on this forum.
Having met yourself, Melanie and Ian i can also tell people on this forum how very genuine and caring you all are in person as well as just the words on a scree.

I think we have all typed out a reply to a post....then deleted it all, after reading it through!! It can be a fine line, as everyone says, between giving an honest reply, and offending someone, just because you have badly phrased your response.

I have noticed a few posts lately that smack of "fiction", I mean with regards to what you can "get away" with in an IVA. These individuals have completely missed the point of this forum and obviously don't understand why we are in this position!!! Either that, or it is just a wind up merchant after a response.

Admin are doing a great job, anyone "looking in" on this thread waiting to make their first post, hopefully can see what a great collection of people, with vast experience, in all walks of life, are available to them for advice and support.

you're right Mr BOT.. most people in an IVA want to pay back as much as they possibly can so don't want to get away with anything. I think everyone on this forum either in an IVA, DMP or bankrupt are good honest people, who can only do there best.. we really don't need people mud slinging etc..
Ang.. 13 payments in.. WOW, thats over 20% paid!! http://angela18.blogs.iva.co.uk/ well here we go

Why fix it if it's not broken? This forum is fantastic, love it, my lifeliine, bad day yesterday turned around by forum members. There are always some crackpots on any forum that want to sabotage things for others to enjoy. Admin, Andy, Melanie and the other professionals well they do a fantastic job in their own roles. I'm a member of a few forums, one private one with very limited membership but believe me they can even argue on there to the point of being nasty! It's healthy to agree to disagree, we do it in my house all the time! he thinks he's right, I know I am!

I think all negative posts should be left to portray a reasoned argument for and against IVAs etc. All posiitve and negative experiences should be noted for others to review and learn from. Many people turn to this site for advice and support when considering an IVA. They need to consider all pros and cons before making this decision.

I think there are negative experiences that are left? I'm often having a bad time with appliances breaking and saying how hard it is and how I have got into a months arrears with my IVA but my IP is supportive and we've worked a way around this. This is the problem and solution. Other posts do not portray all IP's as being so understanding. I feel there are negative and positive views on here and it's not all that IVA's are brilliant. Bankruptcy is also discussed as well as DMP's. All IP's that post are totally impartial and I think the pro's and cons can be seen before making any decision. I think to read the blogs are a good idea as this is where the truth is out, I use mine as a weekly diary.

The site to me is invaluable and of late there is a good friends network being built which is lovely too x

I would be totally lost without this site. I was very lucky and found it before I started to try and sort my finances out. I have received invaluable advice from the experts and from friends.
