these creditors that hold the greater percentage that usually turn iva`s down would it not be possible to give them a greater share of the fund to get them on board so as they accept and the iva would be passed tying all the others?this is maybe the way forward in the future to get more iva`s through because in reality they are owed the most money so should get a better dividend.

or am i talking gobillygooK[:D]

I think that would be very unfair to the other creditors indebt.

They all get paid pro rata which is by far the best way.

They don't - it is all dished out pro rata according to the amounts owed to each creditor.

Got that slightly wrong - sorry!

They get the same percentage, for example, my creditors are receiving 31% from me, but 31% of £1000 and 31% of £20000 are a lot different.

That idea would not work and does not make sense. The principle of equal distribution has to count otherwise how do you determine what to pay each creditor. And if one got more than the others that would be preferring, and we simply don't do that!

Nice try! But the principle of dividing up the pie equally has been around since the Romans were here, so it might take a long time to change it!!!

[:D][:D][:D][:D] Love the thread, made me laugh. The romans used to behead every tenth person,(decimation) I think I remember from school. Hmmm might be interesting if you had ten creditors, or would that be every ten debtors having an out of body experience?
