my daughter is now doing an iva but she is due a compensation claim of £6000 which the iva do not know about what will happen to the money if they found out will they take it or not many thanks a worried father

Hi darren

Unless there is anything in your daughter's IVA which precludes her from having to hand the money over, the award will be deemed to be a windfall, and she will have to declare it to her Supervisor and hand the money over.

As Melanie says this money is likely to constitute a windfall and as such will need to be paid into the IVA if there is a clause to do so in your Daughter's IVA.
