If it is Gross Misconduct then you will be Fired Guaranteed if it is proven , but it is not the End of the World.
You need to get things sorted now!!!!!
Apply to all the Agencies and Look for New Employment.
Getting Fired is not the End of the World and New Employers will look on very Favorably if you are Honest when Applying and at Interview.
You are most probably STRESSED OUT OF YOUR MIND!! at the minute.
The IVA will let you have a Payment Break until you find new Employment so you will need to talk to them URGENTLY!!.
Last Year i was in Exactly the Same Position as Yourself but did a bit of Temping and landed a much Better Job than the last one.
Good Luck!!!![:)]

Sorry that I did not see your post sooner I do not always have access to a computer that works. How are you?

I want to wish you luck what a horrible time you are having at the moment. I have a bit of experience in the HR field in an administrative capacity.

ACAS is on 08457 47 47 47

If this is still going on please ring ACAS on the above number also you can check out www.acas.co.uk if you have not done this already. You can ring them and they will give you some information/advice - this is exactly the same information that they would also give to your employer who if they are a good employer the company will almost certainly have rang them already. By doing this you will know where your employer is coming from with their arguments and be able to put forward a stronger case in your own favour, together with your Union rep.

The Acas Helpline is the place to go for both employers and employees who are involved in an employment dispute or are seeking information on employment rights and rules. The Helpline provides clear, confidential, independent and impartial advice to assist the caller in resolving issues in the workplace. ACAS is on 08457 47 47 47.

You say the team is behind you, so if you can get individual statements from them all with their signatures on saying they feel this could happen to anyone of them and they feel it is grossly unfair and why. Keep your Union rep informed all the way and keep ringing ACAS for extra info if necessary.

Keep calm, most importantly stay focused and positive in getting a good outcome. Do you think there may be any form of discrimination going on against you or any bullying/harassment etc. maybe - sorry just wanted to ask as this may be an important factor.

Please accept my apologies if the info I have posted has been outdated by events now I have just read your post.

sincere best wishes

Oscar

debtdebtdebt,
What an awful situation for you. I hope you get things resolved so you can get on with your life.

There has been an ongoing `cull` at my place of work for a good twelve months or so now, as quite a few people have been disciplined and dismissed in an attempt to lessen the number of premium rate wage earners and replace them with either agency staff or full timers on new T&C`s (lower rates of pay and less hours).

Good luck debtdebtdebt, I hope things work out for you.

As the original posts were a few weeks ago, I rather think this may have been dealt with by now.

Hopefully the result was a positive one for the op.
