Just in case you missed my post under one of the other headings, our IVA meeting was on wednesday just gone, and out of all who voted only 1 rejection.

Open & Direct retail services £15,000 - Accepted
Morgan & Stanley £2,040 - Accepted
Capital one £6,048 - Accepted
Halifax Bank £1,500- Accepted
Yorkshire Bank (not sure amount) - Accepted
Mint Card £2,500 - Accepted
Halifax Credit Card - Accepted

B&Q Card £265 - rejected

Abbey Credit Card (MBNA) - didnt vote
Itteligent Finance - didnt vote
Abbey Loan & bank overdraft -didnt vote
Argos - didnt vote

Apparantly because these didnt vote and the ones that did were over 75% then they also have to go with the vote.
It seems really strange they didnt vote as it adds up to a largeamount of money, why do you think they didnt vote?

Ive checked all the addresses and company sent proposals out to right ones.......what happens if they say they didnt receive anything? or what happens if they got their vote in late?

Anyway iam so happy now, i can look forward to our wedding now, 5 years is a long time but cant wait to be debt free, this was the best thing we ever did, if we hadnt what with interest etc we would have been paying for the rest of our lives.

Everyone on here has been a godsend, i was so worried and was really ready for rejection.

By the way it was all accepted on 29p in the pound which i thought was really good.

Just got to be careful, but its going to be a lot better than the situation we was in before. One of my creditors rang yesterday and i usually ignore the call, it gets a bit boring after they have tried about 20 times, anyway couldnt wait to answer the phone, had great pleasure in talking to them..............

Hi Baz
Its great to answer the phone and not have to worry, it will soon quieten down. We had quite a few not vote and like you they held quite a large majority of the vote, I'm quite glad they didnt. Dont think they can do anything cos they know when the meeting is so if they dont vote its their fault so long as they gotr the proposal and they have to sign for those. We sneaked through with 78% but I have to say life is ten times easier than before, and no worry, no letters. We still do overtime even though we give half to the iva ,at least the half goes to us and not just to manage the bills as before. Hope all goes as well for you as it seems to for us, somew people struggle but maybe we got good mexpenditure they never queried any of it, but we live quite cheaply as thats the only thing debt taught me to do, Im the queen of buying anything thats on sale and getting the bargains. All the best

Hi
Just to add that your IVA has been accepted by over 75% of the voting creditors by value. Its hard luck to your creditors who did not vote[or got it in late].They are bound legally by the terms of your IVA.So rest assured and well done.
Its not unusual for companies not to vote especially if they have less than 25% of your overall debt.
Start counting from 60 to a brighter futere.
regards

Couldn't help laughing about the B&Q one tho. Why is it always the small ones that try and cause all the bother !
