We had a full and final IVA accepted last April which completed at the end of August. Recently my husband received a letter saying his account with Citifinancial had been passed on to Max Recovery. This suprised me as I thought the account would have been closed after they received their dividend. Has anyone else experienced this?

They are tedious Sue, and result from the left hand not knowing what the right is doing, and I suggest tht you file it in the bin!

If they persist with chasing this non existent debt, make a formal complaint in writing. After 8 weeks you can escalate the complaint to the FOS. They will then 'deal' with the company concerned !!

The exact same thing has happened to my wife,a debt[littlewoods]that was in her IVA,now settled, has been passed to Max Recovery.
Good advice from J-D,any complaint going to the FOS will cost the CREDITOR £400

Absolutely !!

If enough complaints are received the fitness of the creditor to hold a CCA Licence can be scrutinised by the OFT.

Eventually these scavengers {because thats my opinion of Max Recovery} will be forced to act in accordance with their licence. This means only attempting to collect a legitimate debt. (OFT664). Littlewoods are also beneath contempt and liable to complaint also - they sold it on ![}:)]

I would just like to record a Thank You to Max Recovery / Eversheds. They bought / acquired some of my debts prior to the Creditors Meeting and voted Yes.

Thank You!!!

Yes THANK YOU Max Recovery!! They bought my wife's MBNA debt and voted YES to 25/£ [:D] (had they voted NO the proposal would have failed!)
My thanks to Melanie and her team :)

I agree that it's good that Max Recovery have voted yes to IVAs but I think it's terrible that they continue to harrass people who are already in / have completed IVAs.

I would definitely report them to the FOS if they tried that with me - perhaps a few fines might make them get their act together!

I just couldn't understand how they could pass a debt on that had been settled. As advised by Melanie I have thrown the letter away - I remember it said something about no need to contact them it was for reference only, but if they do start harassing us I will complain. Thanks for your replies.
