Well done Ronald.

Finally, finally over for you then.

I fully intend to spend once I have finished - but only within my means.

I'll be doing the same! After I've made my last IPA payment next year I'll be having a bit of a splurge. After that the plan is to save half and spend half...

You've got to have a splurge Skippy and Ronald remember you can't take it with you. I like Jan intend to spend within my means. Hopefully I will have restructured my finances and come far enough along the journey to know I can't spend other peoples money only my own and that is what I will do.

As I'm the only one who is bankrupt I won't have that problem Ladyh - it'll be mine, all mine!

You're right about not being able to take it with you Lesley - my uncle and aunt are loaded but won't spend any of the money to make themselves more comfortable. Even when the microwave packed up it was a big issue and she was wondering whether she would be able to replace it!

I'm in an IVA but have a company American Express card that is paid for by the company and I submit an expense claim to verify the expenditure.

As Amex is not universally accepted I also have a Barclaycard as an additional cardholder on my wife's account (who is not under an IVA), so I can pay for reclaimable business expenses where I cannot pay by Amex. She pays the bill in full each month, which isn't a problem as any expenditure is reimbursed by my company by the time she has to pay.

My IP knows about both of these arrangements. I did get the additional card on my wife's account when I knew I was going to go into some sort of debt management arrangement (i.e the IVA) so I don't know whether the card company refuses to issue a card to someone on an IVA - probably not.
Debt problems, what debt problems? I'm not in De Thames, I'm in De Nile.

You are right LadyH. Thefsg's wife could add any number of additional cardholders and Barclaycard do not care as she is responsible for the debts.
