Creditors meeting has been adjourned again for the second and final time until next Monday. Northern Rock said no this time. Not easy -like walking a tightrope all the time and my nerves are in shreds. My hubby who is usually so level headed and little gets to him even seems despondent now. Hasn't been nice telling him the news as he is away from home. My IP remains confident and I have every confidence in them so will need to hang in there. Have given up tonight and got some happy tabs from my Gp to help me sleep! Wouldn't mind but some creditors don't seem to get the fact that if I go bankrupt I lose everything, they get nothing and if they think refusing the IVA puts me back into a DMP thats unlikely as I have a creditor who has already served me with a stat demand as a prelude to bankruptcy. Hey ho - off we go again! Has anyone else been through an adjournment and come through the other side with an IVA?

so sorry gizmo, wait and see what happens at the next meeting, i am facing BR as mine was rejected but have applied for another job and if i get it, it means i earn twice as much if i don't i will be going BR, have you thought about ringing NR and speaking to them yourself, i advised them because of my rejection i am going BR although it wasn't them that said no, but they did want extortionate modifications, they have been quite helpful in regard to my mortgage and trying to work out payment schemes, but will not entertain a DMP with the unsecured loan anything is worth a try, try not to stress to much and wait for the next meeting.

So sorry giz

Cannot say anything helpful right now, I am sure your stressed out of your head, not knowing where it will all end is daunting.

All I can say it that I feel for you, and Kerri, facing this nightmare.

good luck to both of you

I would just like to let you know that my situation was exactly the same, adjourned twice! then when i asked the question "well what will happen if the creditors cant agree?" the reply i got was "well you can go bankrupt". AAHHHHHHHHHHH!! unfortunately IP's do this every single day hundreds of times so they seem to forget this is your life they are balancing in their hands! But fear not, mine did get accepted on the final meeting so good luck and let us know how you got on!

Some insolvency practitioners don't c_h, so don't tar us all with the same brush. I care about the outcome of every single one of my client's meetings, and we fight as hard as we can to persuade creditors to accept the proposals.
