Don't normally think chat rooms are that good. But I think on this site it would be really useful. I know that some people get really down and I know the posts sometimes help them to get through. However a chat room that others could go to for support when the dark times come would be a solace for some.

How do others feel about this, would they like this facility.
Admin - is it possible ?

Or is it just me who would like support now and again.

I also feel that I have a lot to give through my experience to support others who are not quite as lucky as myself and are struggling to get their IVA's approved.
Also those who have IVA's rejected and are having to go through bankruptcy, which is going to be a difficult time for them need a friendly ear and support.

Comments please.

hi jan i agree with you, whilst admin have give us friends corner, for chit chat, i know it is hard for them to moderate a chat room so the unwanted as we have seen here b4 don't get on but i am sure given time they might be able to do a chat room

Hi Kerri

Is it not something we could do amongst ourselves
to moderate the chat room. Perhaps it could just be limited to be open a couple of nights a week for a couple of hours. I wouldn't object to moderating providing it wasn't too committing.

I'd definitely be interested as well. It would be nice to be able to get to know other people on the forum, and I agree that it might help some people.

Hi folks
We have been busy looking into this proposal.
Our concern has always been the moderation, but in view of all the enthusiastic volunteers that concern has been allayed!
We are working at present on jannette's excellent idea of trying it out for a couple of hours for a couple of nights a week and we will keep you posted with progress.

regards, admin

Thank you admin for listening to our concerns. I shall be a good ,fair and kind moderator. If anyone enters the chat room bragging about paying their bills on time or not beng in arrears, they will get bounced from the chat room promptly (smile).

Hello DD and all

What is a chat room? I thought they were the things that your 1i year old uses to get drawn away from the parents by someone who is 47 or something? I think that I have disabled this on my comp.

Sorry to sound thick, but I have only just started to use IM

Thanks Admin this would be perfect and I for one would volunteer. I was involved in another site where nominated members moderated the chat room.

Freeli - a chat room is where we can chat on line to one another a bit like msn as it is real time but where we can all contribute to a conversation and support each other. It is more real time and not reliant on someone answering your post especially if your feeling a bit fed up and need support.
