We are two mths into our iva . Im having a nightmare this mth . Our car head gasket blew last friday , luckily my brother is a mechanic ,but it was going to cost over £600 to fix.So the stress levels yet again began to rise hubby needs car for work (works 6 miles from where we live and shifts ,so no buses at 3am !)Managed to find a m reg mondeo on ebay for £200 with tax till august and mot till November. There was no option had to get another car and now we are struggling a bit this mth to find payment for iva .What shall we do.

Hi Rachellxx39, i would suggest you ring your IP and explain the situation, and see if they can help, either by a payment holiday from the IVA this month, or reduce your payment. x

Have spoken to Clearstart and they have said pay what i can and they will work with us to sort out catching up on any money missed. Very helpful and told me not to panic . Feel better now !

I'm in the same situation Rachel although with my boiler, they worked on it all day last Friday 8am-5pm! eeek! then again today, I desperately need it fixing, we've had no heating for over a week and no hot water since before Christmas, the hot water I can live without the heating I can't, dreading the bill but I'll settle it and then if I have to talk to my IP, I will but at the minute, my main concern is keeping my family warm and the added luxury of having a bath rather than a shower is a pleasing thought! Glad you got sorted x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
