Hi Iam new to this forum but have been reading it for a while. My husband and I are in first stages of IVA, just wanting to ask if anybody has dealt with McCambridge Duffy, also is it ok now not to make payments to creditors or should we still try to make the payments even though it is a struggle.

I know nothing adverse about McCambridge Duffy.

Whether you make payments still to your creditors will depend how far advanced the IPs enquiries are. If it's clear an IVA is the answer and production of your proposal is imminent then it's probably pointless continuing to make payments, particularly if McD are already communicating with the creditors.

I would check with McD to see where they are up to and what they recommend for you.

Welcome crazymare. I hope you find this forum as helpful and supportive as I have. Sorry I can't help with any information on McCambridge Duffy, but I am sure someone will come along who has heard of them.
Good luck

I was with McCambridge Duffy when I had my first IVA and I thought they were very good. Unfortunately I could not use them for my 2nd one!!!

Hi I read the forum but don't always post. Just wanted to say that I am currently with Mc Duffy and I'm half way through my IVA. SO far they have been excellent and have had no problem. YOu have to send your payslips to them every 3 months for review which is fine and obviously your P60. Any pay increases that arise will be picked up from your payslips and they write to you to notify if you need to surrender more cash. I had a bonus paid out last year and had to surrender 50% of it. It will be the same again end of this month as another bonus is due. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Mc Duff continue to be excellent so am sure you will have no problems. I hope this helps to put your mind at rest.

I used to be a partner in McCambridge Duffy and left for personal reasons. They have some great people working for them and have grown to become one of the largest IVA firms still operating.

McCambridge Duffy set up my IVA and did a jolly good job of it!

The only problem I have found with them is that like other large IP firms it can be difficult to get hold of people in the know to talk to. Once my IVA was approved it was a real battle to be able to talk to anyone other than an administrator.

Good luck
