Hi
If the car finance agreement that you have is a HP agreement then you will need to take out a fresh loan for the new car. If,as is more common,it is a fixed loan agreement then you will have no problem as the debt will not be secured on the car and you will be able to sell it[part exchange it]
Your first call is to Santander to comfirm the type of finance agreement and then to your IP to keep them in the loop

Hi Barb, having a lovely quiet weekend thanks, hope you are too. Speak to Melanie tomorrow, she will almost certainly advise you of the best option for you. I know how worrying it is for you as we have been there this week but our minds are completely settled now. A huge weight has been lifted off our shoulders and we now know that we are going to stable for the next three years. (well as stable as hubby and I can be [:D], you'll realise what I mean when you meet us at FF in November - both bonkers [:p]) Hopeyou get it sorted soon. Kazzy x

Drop me an e-mail with the options, Barbara, as this is best dealt with off-line.
