Hi Guys, I completed my iva in Jan this year, signed a deed of assignment last year on the grounds that I agree that if any more PPI is due I agree for my ip to claim and would not hold up completion certificate.
Contacted McDuffy yesterday to find out when I could expect to receive completion certificate only to be told that they are looking into further PPI claim and that I should contact them again in approx month time to see if it's any closer.
Why did they ask me to sign deed of assinment?
Am I being fobbed off, any advice would be welcome, just can't move on.

Hi. Whilst it might sound like the Deed of Assignment isn't being utilised, a few months for the completion certificate is still good in the current state of things, many are waiting in excess of 6 months and some over a year.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
Thankyou for the reply, it just seems strange they ask you to sign the deed, then don't use it. Don't send file to the completions department for closure. In my final review report said that PPI was complete and no other was expected, they have been doing PPI checks for 3 yrs approx, always signed paperwork, and to date nothing been found like I told them I did not take out PPI, although I accept some were issues without knowing.
Guess I will just have to wait an other month, then contact again to see if it's moved forward.

Again Faz we are at the mercy of people who have no correct leader ship I too signed the agreement in the hope this speeds the process up- the whole market of IVA needs a full clear out and grey areas need to be removed. It's an insult to us who have played by the rules to put up with this
