Ok thank you. I will have a look and see if i can get a loan out to pay back my debt or look for a debt managment plan. Also my partner has debts we are not married but we do live together can we both do a debt managment plan together?

Hi Holli there is an iva not joint as such but interlocking in that I an E is worked out as one and there is one proposal and one monthly payment. We have one like this that is going well. The voting of creditors is done for each person though and you still need 75% acceptance each. Maybe an option how much does your partner owe and how many creditors.

Hi Holly,

There is actually no such thing as a joint IVA, however you and your partner can have a joint proposal but the creditors will still vote seperately.

Ok, I owe 17k and my Partner owe's 19k to 7 different creditors. We both contrabute to household bills ect and just both struggling to pay for everything at the moment. I cant seem to get any loans anymore and thinking of doing a DMP or an IVA just struggling to work out what is best for me and my situation.

It may be a good idea to have a chat directly with a couple of companys and see what they say. Melanie would be a good start, you need good advice on the best solution and I know she will give you all your options and avise accordingly.

First advice is free so just see what they say. dont commit to anything just see your options and make an informed decision.
