My IP will be seeing all my creditors very soon. However i have been receiving calls from my creditors and am so nervous to pick up my mobile as i do not know what to say to them as i might get bullied into paying them money as one already called me over the weekend and i had to give them false information...so just for them to leave me alone.
My next question is if you are under IVA are you allowed to have any storecard as i still have one that i didnt disclose to my IP cos its under my name but my mum is using it which she is obviously paying for. Should i disclose this storecard to them or what..

Any advice will be appreciated..

Hello Smiley and welcome.

Firstly, I presume you have not yet entered an IVA and are waiting for your meeting?

Do not worry about the calls, either ignore them, change your phone number or refuse to answer the security questions. They are bullies and will try anything to get you to pay money.

As regards the storecard, this should be disclosed to your IP. Doesn't matter who is paying the bill, it is in your name and you should no longer have any credit without permission of your IP.

Hi and Welcome to the forum!
when my application for my iva was going through I stopped answering my phone as I wasn't very strong at dealing with the calls from my creditors and I didn't make any token payments as it had no affect to my iva being approved.
You must inform your IP with regard to your store card your mum may be paying it but it is in your name and you are not allowed any store cards while in an iva.You mustbe fully honest with your IP or how else how can they give you the best advice for you if you are hiding any info from, not a good way to start offf a 5 year relationship honesty is the best policy!!!! good luck

Hi smiley, welcome to the forum.

The calls will continue I'm afraid, be firm but polite and just keep the same script, something along the lines of you're seeking an IVA and your IP is **** and their contact details are **** You can always ignore the calls and choose not to answer them, we're all different and at the end of the day I don't personally think it has any bearing on the result of the creditors meeting whether you take the calls or not.

You are not allowed any form of credit whilst in an IVA without the specific consent of your IP is how I understand it. I would wait around for a professional to answer this point 100% but I feel it should be disclosed as it's in your name.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I never spoke to my creditors at all.

It makes no difference with your IVA application. If I remember rightly, Barclaycard/Mercers never voted at all for mine.
