So, after a long long long dusty road, we are 2 payments short of the end. There were times when I thought we wouldnt make it, and there were times when knew we must, but all of sudden, were almost there and starting to consider life thereafter. To all of you just strating, half way through or in it and struggling, hand on in there, its long and slow, but you DO get there....thanks to all on the forum for the snippets of advice and thanks to all who contribute - your posts have anserede many a quation of mine too! I will come back in a few months with the big Woohooo, but thought I would check in as its been a while.

Hi all,

Many thanks for your kind words. Yes, the sense of relief is overwhelming - as of today, 1 payment left....and I can now say, our last paymwent is due at the end of THIS month! Its been hard, it isnt meant to be easy and we so nearly failed several times, but we learned new ways of surviving and just got through it. You will all do the same. The whole point of this 5 years "stretch" is to sort yourself out and my god we have, we are NEVER getting into debt again and NEVER going to have credit cards again - ever. Lesson well and truly learned. Now its time to start living again, properly for the first time in 10 years. What a lot of wasted years, but hey, dont look back, just look forward now.

Fantastic, I'm not too far behind you and although I'm having a few problems thrown at me towards the finishing line, I'm very determined to finish this!
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

FINAL payment made today.....feels like a boulder has been lifted, although wont quite believe it until we get the official papers - took GREAT satisfaction in cancelling the 5 year old standing order today though - instantly £647 per month better off! b***** good holiday coming up next summer. Thansk again to all who helped and encouraged and the best of luck to you too - some of you are close behind me!

Nice one [:)] from one Andy to another[:)]
If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d grab ours back.

Funds paid to date accepted as F&F 16th August 2013, the wait for completion begins.
Wait over....certificate recieved 3rd May 2014
