I am nearly two years into my IVA but am unhappy in my job. Am allowed to change to a lesser paid job? I would like to do a 3year Nurse training course with a bursary & I would have an evening job, as long as I continued to be able to pay my IVA would this be allowed? Please can you help as I am very unhappy. Thank you

Hi Helen and welcome to the forum

So long as you could afford to continue with your IVA payments, there should be no problem - but do be sure that you will able to get a job at the end of the training. There are a lot of newly qualified nurses trying to find jobs at the moment without success - but you could always go back to your current position. What are you doing now as a matter of interest?

Hey Helen, welcome to the forum. You wouldn't have to stay in your job if you were unhappy, are you sure that you could keep up the payments though? I would contact your IP and let them know of your situation when you know what your new income and expenditure would be. Good luck. X
