am I being impatient

Om January 15th I spoke to someone at ClearStart who said that an IVA would be best for me.I was sent all the paper work the following day and I sent all the required documents back by return post.After one week I rang ClearStart to enquire if all was ok and was told that I had been transfered to DebtFreeDirect and someone would be intouch.After a few days I contacted DFD who then told me I was being transfered back to ClearStart.I rang ClearStart who told me that they had not recieved my paperwork but when they did it would be going to the drafting department and someone would be contacting me.I rang them yesterday to find out what was happening and was told that someone would ring me in ten min.I am still waiting.Is all this NORMAL?

Hi Dennydee and welcome to the forum

I am not sure how the relationship between DFD and CS actually works, but they do have the same owners. It does sound as if you are being messed around a little, but IVAs do take about two months to put forward, so they are still well within that timeframe. Try and find out the name of the individual who is now taking responsibility for your case so that you have a main point of contact. The problem with the larger IP firms is that several people will handle your case at various stages - but this does not necessarily mean poor service.

Take advice from another one or two IVA companies,you don't seem to be any further ahead after a month

I would seriously question why you are being transferred between DFD and CS as although they do have the same owner they do the same job !!

Have you had any correspondence from them other than the intial pack ?

Did Clearstart explain all the options to you before they 'said that an IVA would be best for you' and the reasons why other options are not suitable and explain why an IVA is the best solution to deal with your debts ?
