I take if you had been my Ip Lisa it would be closed now. Maybe DFD need to sort themselves out because one person says one thing and someone else says another.
Maybe...! But hindsight is a wonderful thing and it sounds like you are inching closer to the end!

Told today I am to sign a deed of assignment as we have not done so it seems a bit odd to me. Are we obliged or will this delay certificate release.
It will delay things as PPI case law is currently going through the court of appeal and the outcome won't be known until some time next year. It sounds like if you don't approve the assignment you will need to hang on to see how the PPI appeal hearing goes and/or for your IP to make a claim and pay it into your IVA which could take time. Do you know how much it might be worth?
Lisa.
According to Laura whatever PPI is or if there is any outstanding it will not delay in the closure of the Iva or postpone releasing the CC. I j am just being asked to sign the deed of assignment which was sent to us ur or so ago. The new deed which says it should speed up PPi claims and closures. We did have the option not to agree to the new terms and conditions. This is why I asked if we are obliged to agree to the new DOA. Because theoretically we could sign saying we don't agree with the changes being made. If I'm told by DFD it won't change closure times and CC release. That's why don't quite see the reason why I have to sign it. Because if I disagree with the changes then what. But we will agree to the terms just sober can clear this nightmare up. Thank you all for the assistance.
Get it signed and sent off and move forwards ...its not worth worrying over. You have achieved something to be proud off in the conclusion of your iva payments ..don't let this little hiccup cause you added stress x

If that's true why were you told it would take 6 months to close...?
If it doesn't affect your IPs closure of your IVA then I'm sure Laura will arrange to send you your CC asap regardless of the PPI assignment...
Lisa.
Here is part of the email Laura sent when I asked if the deed of assignment is not present would it effect closure. Here's what she said.
No not at all. As mentioned the PPI will not hold up the closure of your IVA we will continue to close the account (the timescale I gave you of 6 months does not relate to claiming back PPI – but includes chasing outstanding claims from creditors, completing distributions and completing the final administration on the account).
Ok I'm hearing you.
Do you offer any suggestions I can put forward to Dfd in order to gain an earlier closure. Also why do they say it takes 6 months to close. Could it be the fact that they are over committed hence creating a backlog of work. So just to fob us off they are creating their own 6 months closure period.
DFD usually take up to six months to close, as Laura has stated there is admin and monies to be distributed but each company is different.

Yes I know that. I was just talking to Lisa and if you read the post even she says. If PPi etc etc will not hold up the closure and the release of the CC why are they giving a 6 months deadline. And as she says its some sort of cop out so they could release the CC now as opposed to 6 months time. Whatever admin work they have to do is not my problem. I've kept to my side of the arrangement.
