Just a note for people who have joined in the last couple of months who may not be aware of Andy's petition to No. 10 to restrict access to the Insolvency Register.

You may, or may not, be aware that anybody can look up this register on the internet and find out your details.

If you have not already signed up to it, please go to it and sign up, the more signatures the better.

Some friend Whitegold[:0]

It is terrible that they have betrayed your trust, I do hope it does not have any bad consequences for you.

I've not told anyone about mine, and fortunately, nothing shows up if you google my name.

Pleased about that Whitegold.

Trouble is, you never know who might google your name just for a laugh!

I know that when they do special birthdays at work they sometimes google your name for the birthday presentation speech.

God help me if that comes up as I will be celebrating my 40th during my IVA, and fear someone finding out through google this information.

Fortunately I cannot find myself on the first 10 pages of the search results so hopefully will get away with it.

Thank goodness they don't do that where I work! Mind you, if they did I would probably just avoid it as my IVA is due to conclude when I am 59. Of course, if it has to continue for 12 months afterwards if I can't remortgage I will turn 60!

Yep they try to dig up some dirt all in a bit of fun really but not so much if they discover that register, they mainly try to find out if you share a birthday with anyone famous and what happened on your birthday though.

You could always beat them to it and present them with a list of notable happenings or shared birthdays.
