Have you got any tricks and tips for EMAIL junk? [}:)]

I get lots of these emails instead of post. They are so annoying and when I contacted my service provider was informed that I would need to change my email address. That's a bit drastic. Someone else on this forum posted details about a web site called 'whocallsme.com' and that was good to check out also.

Majority of the time my junk mail goes through to the spam folder and I just empty it. It is a pain though.

I have a Norton anti-spam folder but nothing goes in there now - they used to. I have set up my own filtering the words system in outlook which puts them in the deleted folder but only works for about 20% of these emails. I have replied not so politely to some of the others and have not had anything since! maybe i will do the same for all the rest too [}:)]

Sometimes though Maz, that's not a good thing to do. As soon as you reply, they realise they have a live email address and you may be bombarded even more.

Just registered on a website.
http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/
You can enter any landline, mobile or email address onto this site and if you receive any phone calls (cold calls or sales calls) you say you have registered with the TPS and the company will be fined for ringing a TPS protected number.

Just another way to stop the pesty sales calls for "emergency loans" and "to help sort my life out" :)

Ha! I shall try the hash trick next time RMA call me - I always know its them because there is no-one there for a few moments when I answer the phone, then a voice comes on. They have machine generated dialling and then when someone answers they pick the call up. They have already called me twice today!!
Nice one!!
