Hi,
This does sometimes happen. The only thing I can suggest is that you unplug your phone whilst you are asleep - also inform your IP that this is going on so that they can contact the creditor and tell them to leave you alone.

Hi, I had a call at 8am just b4 I went to sleep yesterday morn and had a bit ov a giggle with him, I said oooooooo good morning you are up early just to ring me, I had a bit of a banter with him and he acknowledged that they have rang me alot lately, Im going to ring my IP in the morning, they did say that it cud take 6-8 weeks for the calls to stop. I dont want to unplug my phone because Im a natural born worrier and always think if I unplug it then Im gonna miss an important call eg,my kids have taken ill or sumthing, daft I kno lol x

At least you had some banter with him! Some are just plain rude!! They will die off eventually, although I still get the odd one 5 months in!!

Hi and welcome Tracey, i'd either take my phone off the hook, or when they ring answer it and go and do something else, but that is my nasty twin, no seriously i would inform your IP and also state to these people that you are now in an IVA and if they don't stop harrassing you, inform them that you'll be making a complaint.
Om shanti, namesté, good luck to all who are embarking on the IVA journey, it isn't always an easy one but the outcome is the best.

Hi tracey73,
Barclaycard started to phone Me again when I was about four to six months into my IVA...and they voted in favour of my proposal. I spoke to a team leader and told them they were actually breaking the law with this continued harassment as they were bound by the terms of the IVA, and I informed them that if I got one more call I would look into legal action.
The person I was speaking to put me on hold for a minute or two then returned with an apology and assured me that I wouldn`t get any more calls, I never did.

We had calls up to about 4 months in , we don't get anything now, just the yearly statements they have to send out.

We signed up to the Sky version of Choose to refuse. Problem is that if the calls come from outside the UK you can't bar them.

We did it purely for the annoying 'Microsoft', 'PPI;, 'Utilities' calls. A lot of the time they show up as UK numbers but they're not.
I'm afraid I get quite abusive on the phone these days!!
